A chance encounter with a dirty litter box pulled Alan Cook into the pet industry.
Subsequently he invented the ScoopFree® automatic self-cleaning litter box:
The product was a great success and sold to customers in over 20 countries.
A few years after selling ScoopFree to another company, Alan met Veterinarian Brett Shorenstein through the University of Pennsylvania alumni network:
Brett was tired of coming home to dirty puppy pads and showed Alan a puppy pad machine concept. Alan shared his ScoopFree experience. They worked out a deal and formed a new company.
Alan and Brett worked with the original ScoopFree team to create a new concept and develop BrilliantPad®.
